Christmas Crafts for Kids - ideas for using tracers:
Although many preschool and kindergarten students may turn out unrecognizable looking Christmas crafts, avoid the tendency to help the students too much in an effort to produce perfect crafts. The more children cut, glue, and practice with craft materials, the more skilled they get. They are pleased with their finished blobs of paper, glue, sequins and glitter, so celebrate their successes too. Read the tips on the kindergarten Christmas page if you are new to this.
I often show the students a few samples, then tell them they are free to copy the samples or make the item another way. To have some control over the students' results, limit the materials you put out for each tracer and rotate the tracers every few days.
