Art supplies for kids that produce bright colorful pictures, are non-toxic, and that are fun to use, are the best kind for preschool and kindergarten children.
Every early childhood or kindergarten classroom needs a two station easel and there are many varieties available. Easels that hold nonspill painting cups securely in place will make cleanup easier. 
When I first started teaching kindergarten, preparing the easel station was a big job. I had to mix dusty pigment powders with a goopy mixture every week to fill the paint pots at the easel. Now the paint is readily available in large containers.
I like Prang washable paint for easel painting as it is thick and creamy, the colors are bright and it doesn't drip too much.
Given the opportunity, most children will choose easel painting on a daily basis. They are not interested in the finished product but are fascinated with the processes of mixing and swirling paint, creating a variety of marks on the paper and expressing their feelings with a brush.
