Kindle Fire for Kids
Many children's picture books are now available in full color for the Kindle Fire ereader.
If you are considering purchasing an ebook reader for your children, the Kindle Fire has had many positive reviews. Amazon is adding picture books formatted for the Kindle Fire daily.
Children’s books on Kindle Fire now feature Kindle Text Pop-Up for reading text over vivid, full-color images. Just double-tap any text region and it will expand for easy reading.
Amazon has also put parental controls for the Kindle Fire which can be set to prevent children from buying books, apps, games, etcetera as well as preventing them from browsing on the web. On the other hand, the Kindle Fire does not yet support proxy servers, so is not that useful for schools, universities or businesses that are set up with them.
